The SCPP (Société civile des producteurs phonographiques) is a company that collects and distributes fees collected on behalf of music producers from users of sound recordings and music videos.
More than 4,500 producers are currently SCPP members, which brings together the majority of independent French producers as well as international companies such as Sony Music France, Universal, and Warner.
The SCPP manages a catalogue of 17 million recorded titles and 100 000 music videos and represents more than 80% of French producers’ rights which is the bulk of the sound recording catalogue.
