NOTICE OF MEETING



Given the current health situation linked to the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions on movement and meetings imposed by the Government, the Ordinary Exceptional General Meeting of the members of the SCPP will be exceptionally held in camera, without the physical presence of its members and other persons being entitled to attend, on Wednesday 16 December 2020 at 2:30 pm at the SCPP's registered office.


Consequently, members are invited to vote by remote electronic means only, from 30 November 2020 at 9:00 a.m. until 16 December 2020 after the Meeting's discussions, by logging on to https://vote.election-europe.com/AG-SCPP with the login details that were sent to them on 30 November 2020.


Members who so wish may also submit their written questions regarding the General Meeting's agenda to the dedicated email contact-AG@scpp.fr (until 9 December 2020 at the latest).


The General Meeting will be broadcast live on an online video communication platform. Members may attend by registering in advance for the event via the link available on the SCPP's internet portal (member area).


EXCEPTIONAL GENERAL MEETING AGENDA - 2:30 p.m.

 (The text and the explanatory memorandum of the proposed resolutions are available to members, upon written request, at the SCPP's registered office. These documents are also accessible on the SCPP's internet portal and on the electronic voting site)

1) Amendment to the SCPP's 2020 grant budget as approved by the Board of Directors on 8 July 2020 following the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on 8 September 2020;

2) Amendment of the rules for allocating the SCPP's total grant budget from 2021 onwards following the ruling of the CJEU on 8 September 2020;

3) Amendment of the rules for capping the SCPP's grants with regard to new SCPP members whose rights were previously managed by another collective management organisation; 4) Proxies; Miscellaneous matters.

The SCPP is proud to welcome more than 3,000 members, the majority of French independent producers.

More than 3,000  producers​ are currently SCPP members, which brings together the majority of independent French producers as well as international companies such as Sony Music France, Universal, and Warner. The SCPP manages a catalogue of ​ 6,831,812 recorded titles​ and​ 74,863 music videos and represents more than 80% of French producers’ rights which is the bulk of the sound recording catalogue.
